Hi Jose,
Lovely hint of color in this B&W conversion mimicking the old film processing. Well captured and processed with good tonal range and contrast. The rocks created a nice texture to the image. Well done! tfs
Cheers,
Renier

...precisely my thoughts! :))) Every time I do something crazy, or others might consider as being crazy, I say "Why not?" ...and I let my mind wander quite a bit...
I like the aperture of the broken arch...great correlation between the image and the note. The b&w conversion goes perfectly here. Wonderful job, Jose!
Best regards,
Diana

Hello Jose. Nice shot, black and white works very well here. Thanks for sharing.

Regards Phil.

I see a lot of stones combined to a very atractive 'picture'.
It sure must have been beautiful, when is was not a ruin, in the old days.
So, Why Not a picture of it to show us.?
Thanks dear friend José.
Have a fine day.
Jan

I like the truncated curve of the arch at right, & the superb sharpness & tonal range, in the ruins. The complete arch at left is a bonus! Tfs!

Amazing geometric lines and deephting from arch on left. Great texture and clouds'effect.

Hello Jose!
Nice dedication! Excellent shot! Beautiful texture, contrast and details! Lovely place!
TFS, Best regards, Zorica

an arch denotes a passageway between times , spaces, moods- some passages are definite and you can tell where you are going, into a real destination, but some other (the upper arch) are open and then sky is the limit and maybe the clouds are your vehicles to the infinite
also the stone arches , with your b/W rendering remind me of the American indian head dresses, the stones turn into feathers , one head dress is resting on the chief's shoulders, but the other stands up to face the fight ..... am I dreaming? maybe . but then as GBS says, why should not I ?
thank you josè for such an evocative picture
you are a gem
ciao!

Excellent Jose, lovely colour tone and the details of the walls very visible, a good POV,
David

HI Jose
The eye is not drawn to the open archway but rather to the broken one.The texture being so sharp your choice of making this mononochrome was perfect as it does bring out all the details.
Great job

Beautiful tone used, which makes it look even more ancient and mysterious, especially with the murky sky. Very tasteful composition too.

I really like the PoV you used and the high contrasts in this picture, José.
But I think I'd crop more from the top, so the arch would leave the frame without us seeing that it actually isn't a complete arch. But that's just my idea, of course.

Hi Jose

hi Jose

I like this abstract shot in B&W and showing such texture of the stone wall. The arch and shape is definitely interesting feature. Well contrasted to the plain sky.

tfs, bill

Hello, Jose -
Very well-composed shot of these ruins. Am I correct that this is Glendalough? Great choice to present in b&w which underscores the heavy atmosphere. The textures of the rocks in the structure are sharply detailed. I really like the intact arch positioned underneath the partial one. Well done.
