Dublin dockland viewed from the south side, not too long ago most of the builings were warehouses, the area was totally re-developed,which is now the finacial centre,In the b/g the ship is a rebuilt Jeanie Johnston which carried emigrants to america during the famine.

Hi Jimmy B!

I've not been to Ireland yet. I was scheduled to go for my company, but I'm not sure that's going to happen now. Cork is where I'd visit. From the photos I've seen it is a beautiful place. Interesting note, and that is one big tie-off hook. I like the DOF and the sky is very nice. Great capture.

Hello,
Magnificent shot!
I like so much the idea to show the characteristic dockland buildings in the background.
Lovely colors, fantastic light and great composition of the photo.

great sharpness and depth, good compositions, Congratulations.
A greeting

Hello James,

You have used the dof and composition, really successfully, to demonstrate their purposes in photography. It's text book stuff!
The narrow dof has produced a pin-sharp focus on the hook whilst giving an interesting context from the blurred b/g. The fine, sloping composition, makes a good lead into the shot.I like it very much.

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

grt shot James fantastic pov good depth of field you can them sing the fields of athenry in this one tfs regards

Hi James,
This is great- it really tells a story. I love the fg hitches on the waterside. Really good clarity with strong details and nice natural colors. Thanks for sharing this. Julie

Hello Jimmy.
Interesting composition from DD.
I want to go there someday during winter to have a look at new Doclands. I remember this place as no go area few years ago.
Best Regards.

Bonjour James.
Un premier plan net et fond flou. Un bon équilibre et une bonne recherche pour mettre en valeur le sujet.
Bonne journée.
