| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
I spent my Easter Holidays in Salento, where my parents live. So I decided to visit many places I visided many years ago or I didn't visit at all. I think the last time I went to give a look to this beautiful grotto I was 4 or 5 years old!
What you see in the photo is the entrance of the grotto, that was inhabited by humans since prehistory. The "mouth" is 15 metres high from sea level. Being under this grey rock ceiling, and thaking a look to the sea from that position was an experience that made me think that sometime we go travelling trough the world but we forgive that there are such beautiful natural creatures just 1 metre far from our nose!
It was to late and they were closing so I couldn't go inside and discover how wonderful it is inside and what kind of colours I would find in it. Of course, as soon I go back there I'll post some inner photo; at the moment, check this one out!
PP. worked a bit with highlights/shadows and applied an almost invisible warming filter, because the blu reflection of the sea on the rock was too strong to me. |
