Martina Franca is a smart town settled 431 metres above sea level, lying over one of the last southern hills in the south-east of the Murgia area. The Basilica of S.Martino is a wonderful sacred place and it represents one of the best examples of the peculiar baroque style of Martina, that is known all over the world. This basilica dates back to the second half of the XVIII century and it is consecrated to the patron of the town.
