Faraglioni Rocks
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Visited the Isle of Capri on the last vacation and got to see a bunch of sights. This shot is of a much photographed and impressive combination of high cliffs and blue-green waters called the Faraglioni Rocks.
From Wikipedia: "Features of the island are the Marina Piccola (Small Harbor), the Belvedere of Tragara, which is a high panoramic promenade lined with villas, the limestone masses called Sea Stacks that stand out of the sea (the Faraglioni), Anacapri, the Blue Grotto (Grotta Azzurra), and the ruins of the Imperial Roman villas."
The weather was perfect and the view magnificent. I did the RAW processing of this, and a number of other vaction pictures, using Picasa, which somehow in the export of the exif data stepped on the date and time.
Time here was mid-afternoon, as I recall, and as it would seem from the light.
No special post processing here other than resizing and sharpening for posting here. |

Hi Wilt,
The scene is really nice and you had a very good POV as well. Sharpness and brightness of the picture is great, but there is a problem with the horizon, it's quite tilted, needs a few degrees of rotation. I'll show what I mean in a WS, hope you don't mind.
Greetings,
Kristof

Hello Wilt
Nice capture, fantastic birds eye view :)
The boats shows the size of rocks.
I loved the Green water area at lower left side of the frame, would happily spend a day there :D
