Sure they could tell some really interesting stories, right Jens ?
Perfect captured historical photo.
But I can asure you, like in Sicily, they rebuilded those collumns lateron.

Amazing place indeed Jens!

And not only that but you were lucky enough to capture a fluffly white cloud that gets darker in the BG, to give it the best possible backdrop.
Yes, best shown without tourist - because, let's face it, we are no tourists, we are photographers ^-^.

Missed this posting, sorry. Greatr impression of this very special place. You captured it well, nice sharpness and superb colours. One little nit pick, the gate is a tad slanting, a perspective crop will fix that. Anyway a fine posting my friend!

I missed this one!
Great shot and how amazing that you achieved it without a single tourist in sight! When I was there, tourists were the main part of any shot ... but it was an Italian holiday!

Ruins aren't always easy to make interesting to others, but you have composed this beautifully so that anyone will want to look at it! I like how the light has such an important effect and that sky makes the most marvellous backcloth!
