Nice scanner, what model.
Super capture and super restoration. I like the freckles and how well they came out against the very natural looking skin, the very red hair and how you set it off with the frame.
I've scanned a bunch of really old slides and been fairly happy, but many of them were pretty bad to begin with--also very old and from not so good old cameras--and I've got more newer ones to do, from my first film camera in the 70's and I'm hoping they're easier/better, but still curious about what you're using to get this level of copy.
Back to the photo, it's one of those that just make me smile every time I look at it. It's a gloomy day here again and this helps brighten it up.

They grow so fast and your so busy bringing them up that one day you turn around and say "where did all those years go."
Your daughter was a beautiful 4 year old as I trust she today.
The red hair,freckles and big smile carry the day here.

From what you write this picture means a lot to you. That is great but you could get more out of it by adding contrast over all while lightening the shadows on her face.
