La Scienza in Piazza

La Scienza in Piazza or in English, Science on the square. Here another view of Bologna, and well the main square of the city, the Piazza Maggiore.

This Sunday it was the last day of the Scienza in Piazza event, visited several exhibitions and must say I have had a lot of fun with it.

Unfortunately I lost several pictures of Bologna due a weird problem with my memory card, about 62 images showed not to be stored at all, despite checking it regularly. For some reason they got a strange and unusable extension namely DsC1234 i.s.o DSC1234 has anybody experience with this phenomena, I am not able to open it, nor to copy it!?

Anyway fortunately there are about 150 images left and this is one of them :-)

N.B. I'm a few days off for a wedding shoot on the Dutch Island of Vlieland...wish me luck, it's my first one :-)

Hello Hans

Superb sharpness, with good colour & saturation. I like the warm cold colour contrast, between the red tinted stonework of the buildings, & the blue sky. The people in the piazza add scale. Tfs!

Hello Hans.
Nice daily life shot in Bolonga, but the street isn't in level.
About your problem with the memory card, there are programms which are able to get them back.
My brother faces the same before.
I will ask him again how he managed that. When i have a answer I'll let you know.
Groeten van Jan
ps: Have you thied this, Insert your card into the computer, open the card itself, see if there are different files on it.
When so, maybe they are it that.
Happened to me with my other camera too.
Jan

Happy New Persian Year!

love the play of shades. nice composition

Hallo Hans.

Hi Hans,
The warm tones of the buildings are impressive again, clarity and sharpness is perfect, a good daily life picture of this square. However, this tilted POV doesn't fascinate me, but that's just a matter of taste. :)

About your problem: Unfortunately those files are like to be damaged and can't be read/downloaded to the computer. I had a similar problem with my CF card, the extension was regular, but failed to store the photo properly.
You can try one more thing: it's possible that only one file is damaged (like in my case) and you can try to copy it one by one till you reach the one which is really damaged.
If it doesn't work, sorry, but this was my only idea. :)

Greetings,
Kristof

Hi Hans

The half sun lit place enhances the size of the beautiful buildings and their size. Nice POV and excellent casual look at the everyday strollers.

Have a good day and TFS
