Young Peregrine Falcon (Falco Peregrinus) in Val Rosandra, Trieste.
This spring a couple of Peregrine Falcons made their nest on a cliff in Val Rosandra, near Trieste. The nest (and the Falcons) become one of the attraction for the local birdwatchers. Luckyly the nest was well hidden and protected by the nature of the surrounding ground (it was impossible to see or reach it without a pair of wings), and so the two endangered birds managed to breed, and recently two youngs falcons left the nest. They are already becoming masters in the art of flying.
Here there is one of the two winged brothers, that today was exploring the cliffs around the nest, waiting for its parents (and for the food..) on a rock near my position. |

Bonjour LUca,
Amicalement Odile
Beautiful animal, and very good captured!
