A very nice shot ! I feel half 'afraid' by the left side and deeply peaceful by the warm golden light and the cat on the right side ...
The wheelbarrow is well placed in this sight, great detail on rural place.
THe U2's song is a good choice ... soft music for this shot.
Congrats for the original title on your frame :)

Hi Marco,
I am touched by your subject and note. Everywhere in the world, the small villages are disappearing. Modernity, urbanization and the excessive industrualisation make them dying away . With them, it is a life style and a collective memory which disappears.
The contrast with darkness and light is so efficient, here! And the cat seems to invite us to follow him towards a luminous and warm tomorrow! A ray of hope, perhaps!

heh...all lyrics by heart...part of my live when i was about 14..all albums...I was freak i have listened only to them..
i can still sing all songs without text in front of me..
So many emotions about them..i loved Bono so much!
It was insanity..he loves Poland so much..he wrote "new years day" for Lech Walesa..
...
lately i am thinking about what is useful and what isn't in live...in general..
and about knowledge that i have..
that brings so trrryfing conclusions!!

What a surprising image! Excellent details; the cat, the wheelbarrow all nice items with their specific contribution to the scene. It makes me think: what is goin on here. A kind of suspence! The difference in light is striking. The warm yellow and the cold white light devides the picture in to two parts. All together a superb posting my friend!

mi fa piacere che tu sia venuto nella mia terra d'origine. Hai scattato una foto bellissima secondo me, una delle migliori nel tuo già bel portfolio. La luce calda sullo sfondo contrasta benissimo con i toni freddi del muro più vicino. La carriola è un dettaglio scenografico e il gatto colto mentre si gira contribuisce a creare un piccolo capolavoro.

This is super nice and a great way to show how "light" leads the eye, and putting the "light" off center leads the eye across the pic, instead of DEAD center! Very nice, and love the kitty too!!

You looks like the contrast between gold and silver, this tone of colors is very similar to your previous shot in Pompei ruin for my eyes...
anyway the cart, the cat and old stone wall are well composed and these make tasteful atmosphere in provincial village.
lighting is of course very nice setting.

Wonderful light and contrasts here, Marco! Cave-dwellers, or houses cut into the rocks? This reminds me a little of the tunnels at Duernstein in Austria, leading from the Danube upwards through the rocks into the mediaval village perched on the rocky ledge.....

I love the ambiance of a small almost abandomned village or one of those small rural places where nobody is ever around to show you the way or when someone dares to sneak out of the house and wave at you in passing, yes ,nothing can beat that feeling of being alone,of deep solitude .Great shot here this is such a moody scene , my type of photography,

It's a tried and tested technique of Jack the Ripper to lure his victims with a pitiful cat!! So I won't get in there eventhough it's quite attractive by the warmth of light on the historic wall and the ancient whellbarrow that completes the rustic decor!

Excellent subject and composition, with appealing mood created by the light and with strong textural elements. I like how the cat is glancing back at the camera/viewer, as if saying "follow me"! I'm not crazy about the style/size of the caption...the shading draws too much attention, in my opinion, but otherwise this is a top notch image. Well done!
