Very interesting strong graphic effect to the beach scene in bright light. I am not a fan of HPP work but you have done a good job to show the power of the sun for photography.

I like the effect the white frame gives to the image, personally, Liliana. I am just playing catch up on everyone from my absence and I see I have missed a few of yours. This one really appeals to me and I honestly can’t say why. Yes you have all the technical things correct, but there is some other wonderful quality about it I don’t have the experience to put into words. Let me just say WONDERFUL.

The choise for a white frame seems right to me, maybe if it would have been a rainy day the black would make more sense - it's just a feeling.

This intense tone-mapping suits only a few kinds of images, and this is one of them. I noticed you do the same with a lot of other of your images, and, frankly, I think it doesn't work at all well. Especially with the portraits, I think it distorts them severely.

Hello Liliana,
First of all, I prefer the black frame, but the white one doesn't alter your photo (IMO, the black frame gives even more depth to your picture).
The sky is a real eye-catcher here, not only because it occupies 3/4 of your picture, but also because of the heavy contrast boost you did. These contrasts have the same interesting impact on the other 1/4 of the picture and contribute to create a strong overall mood (like when you have to half close your eyes against the sun and you are only able to see silhouettes).
