I like the note, very interesting!

This portrait is very catchy with the eye contact directly and the light+shadow on the face and behind her. Out of the purple color, the skin really stands out nicely. And the eyes.

can't help it here but notice 1st of all her long neck (major beauty aspect:), such a passionate portrait full of light and scent, the fine light on her face makes the eyes glow and her facial expression unrestrained, she's really about to talk, I love the the soft reflection of purple on her eyebrows along with the shine on the lips, it creates a very gentle effect generally... I cant talk forever about this splendor, but End it by: this is really Grand!

this shot looks most sensual in your late shots of her portrait.
perhaps the pinkish color of her face is conspicuous on the back purple light and shadow. and her expression of eyes and mouth seems telling something tempting words.
sorry in my feeling, this shot may have the risk to be commercial photo...
by the way, I can feel your intent and passion to her very well in this shot. maybe it is an unique feeling to her originality.

Some terrific elements in this shot. The colours, the sharpness on her eyes and the way the light emphasises the shape of her face are all very good. The composition is good too.

I do think it needs a little more room at the top of the frame and possibly less at the bottom - the effect here is that she is a little crammed at the top of the photo. I also wonder about the light on her eyes, the light is concentrated towards her nose and her eyes become dark at each outside corner.

This is a powerful portrait but I think it could have been much more powerful with better control of light.

Hello Marco,

A very powerful and dramatic portrait.
The light reveals the shape of her lower face quite precisely as it contrasts with the dark b/g.
I'm sure you intended to have her eyes slightly shrouded and it does produce a hint of mystery about her.
Possibly, a little more space above her head would improve the composition.

i saw the black and white version.. are they the same one? :) i wish i have long neck like her.. oh and the eyes are so beautiful as well.. here is a much more clear one in colours compare to the other one.. but i like the mystery feeling the b/w created.. but still both have their own special quality.. beautiful work again playing with the lights..

I've already come back several times to this photo, Marco, and only after a (considerable) number of days, it dawns on me why I found it so difficult to express my point of view - why this picture does not give me a "Aha-Erlebniss"...

Because, honestly, I have mixed feelings about this one...

On the positive side, I really like how you achieved to make the shades contribute to the facial expression of your model. A really captivating interaction between shadow, light and skin.

But the two latter elements - light and skin - also are responsible for my doubts... I have the feeling that the light is too hard, making some skin areas between the nose and the lips too flat, as if you had used NeatImage there...

Maybe a black-and-white treatment would have softened the effect of the hard light. Maybe...

Anyway, creative work as always and, of course, feel free to (dis)agree. ;o)
