This is a fine portrait of a beloved friend!
Personally I have lost more pets than I like to think about, and it is equally hard every time...
I like the fluffy and well groomed fur, and the eyes are nicely captured...

I particularly like the light in the eyes here, it makes it more alive. One suggestion - you could possibly crop the sides of the picture, so there is more emphasis on the cat. Nice photo!
