MONTERROSO AL MARE, CINQUE TERRE
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
When we arrived in Monterroso Al Mare, I asked where the tourist information office is. A man who speaks English but with heavy Italian accent said, "Go through door under the clothes line." When I looked, the sight made me smile. I just have to take a picture of it. This is how informal it is in this village.
The Cinque Terre are five coastal villages in the province of La Spezia in the Liguria region of Italy. They have come to be among the most popular areas of Italy among tourists. The coastline, the five villages, and the surrounding hillsides are all encapsulated in a national park by the same name. The Cinque Terre is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The five villages are, from east to west: Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza and Monterrosa Al Mare.

hello Andre
Very interesting capture. The clothes line shows how tolerant the people here. This is a WHS! Must be a nice place to visit. Great work.
