[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is a typical view from Lake Como in northern Italy, close to Switzerland. It is the playground of the rich an famous. The George Clooney's of the world flock here to buy their piece of tranquility.

Frame: was looking for a gilt-edge for the mood...

Hope you enjoy!

Like the border/frame... what we now need is to kick the contrast and saturation up a bit... two ways of doing this... in camera settings or by using photoshop... or other editing software... picase can be downloaded from google for free...

Good view of this... when I win the lottery... ya ya ya

Interesting framing. Stunnig place. Well captured. I agree with Archie. It needs some saturation and contrast. Good attempt.

Let me start with comments about the photo and not the frame. I like the scene a lot, but two things trouble me. 1 - the main subject is close to the centre of the image and can be altered with cropping. 2 - the image is 1-1.5 stops overexposed, reducing contrast levels.

Interesting frame? Yes it is, but I feel that the white corners should have been darker, perhaps 80% grey. The white is a bit overwhelming.

Super place and tfs. My opinion - maybe a haze filter required and then a little contrast and saturation would bring out the features a little more. Still, good effort.

Hi Carlo.. hoe gaan dit ?!

George Clooney!!!! WHERE????? ;)

I'm being silly. How have you been, Carlo? I tried playing with this shot a little, increasing the contrast and levels as others have suggested, and it's a stunner! Let me know if you'd like to see it - but you can easily do it yourself - takes less than 10 seconds. :) I've found that most digital shots that I take almost always need some PP to bring out their best. Not talking about major changes, just a little adjusting here and there. The original idea and photo are always yours...after all, you clicked the shutter!

Gayle :)

Hi Carlo,
It is a good composed photo
I like to give it a little colour boost
Then the young spring colours will show more.
Sometimes a touch of sharpness after resizing bights the photo.
See you soon in a other part of the world?
