the horizontal framing is an attempt to include the city in the other side of the lake, maybe a vertical framing was more suiting with the subject and the POV... I didn't shot enough to have a lot of choice. maybe you'll like it anyway

Nice contrast, lighting,and depth of focus in this shot.
I think the horizontal format works well, we see more of the far shore.
