How does one say yes in Italian anyway? haha :P I was just talking to my mom today, telling her she should take more risks, and that the results would probably be worth it, so this photo and the note for it definitely speak the truth for me (and my mom). I like the way you played with the lighting for higher contrasts and a range of tones here. The composition and balance are very strong, with the angle of the pencil, going diagonally across the shot, and off-center to balance with that tilted red "S" at the bottom left. There's definitely a lot of character to this shot. The use of that bright spotlight on the "S" makes this more interesting and dynamic, and it's as if that black pencil "wrote" that red "S". The only thing I would suggest for improvement is to try to get more of the surfaces and objects in the shot in-focus, because now it seems that only the very center of the shot is in-focus. Otherwise a great concept and well-executed shot. Thanks for sharing.
