I return of a very beautiful sunny week in North Italy.
In full Cannes film festival, this white peacock irresistibly reminded me a star going up the stairs of the festival. The photo was taken in Isola Madre on the lake Maggiore.

Hello Jean

A very very nice capture of a peacock here!
Excellent composition and perfect view i'd say!
May be u could compensate the light using a bit high ISO for better f stop and shutter speed as u've not mentioned using a tripod at 1/15 shutter speed.

TFS
Cheers
JZM

Very striking shot. The presence of the bird is what takes this from being an ok shot of stairs, to a very captivating photo with a twist and a strong element of interest.
Nice job!
Rew

Bonjour JJ.
Bravo
Urs

like the natural framing, and great use of the thirds.

Nuptiale photo!!

Bonjour Jean Jacques,

I like the analogy of comparing the peacock with a film star. It is true, the flowing feathers do resemble a long, white gown; and the slight turn of the head, is very cocquettish!
You have presented the scenario well with the focal character, the steps disappearing into the distance and the overhanging boughs.

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Hi Jean
Wonderful artistic composition!
Excellent tunnel of trees branches
Great POV and DOF

Hi Jean,

The white peacock adds a feeling of elegance to the shot of the stairs. Very interesting perspective in the composition. TFS.

Regards,
Werner

How is this a film shot if you took it with a digital camera?

first in thumb i think it's the bride image or a princess like cynderella in fairy tale running down from the stair.

it's good capture for this shot for that white peacock in good point of interest .surrounding and composition support her beauty and pride.look like princess as well:)
TFS

Hello,

Nicou

Hi JJ -

This image, had you converted to a high contrast b&w or perhaps Photoshopped into an Icart-style painting would fit right in with that 1920's art that was so popular to collect again a few years back. Great composition and wonderful POV, nice and sharp even with the low shutter speed.

Have a great weekend!
Reed

Hi Jean! What a beautiful capture! Only great! Fantastic composition and well done. Best regards Csabi

Hi Jean,

GReat POV used up these cobbled steps. The white peacock certainly adds to this photo. Great spotting and well composed. Tfs.
