The good friday in Sicily is full of religious event and processions.
More aspects of the celebrations are full of popular traditions.
One of these is lied at the presence of more confraternitas (group of religios people that have in common the devotion in a saint or in one aspect of christian faith).
The tree man you can see in this shot are members of the Sacramento's confraternita and have the caracteristic caps and the signs of the passion of Christ (the crowns of thorn and the ropes around the neck). |
