Hi all,

Took this one some time ago. We were on vacation in sicily and this is one of the fountains in the lovely city of Palermo.

Did some PP:
Cropped the original to put the center figure more off center and to show more of the figures in the fountain.
Cloned out a white car in the lower left and removed the top part of the building on the right.
Increased saturation.
And used levels to adjust color balance.

The speed of 1/500 froze the water droplets; selecting a slower speed would have made the droplets merge into a stream of water, Pedro - which would be a totally different picture. Don't know if your camera has a manual setting; if not, choosing landscape mode usually selects a slower speed and a tighter aperture. Just something to try if you have some time ;o).

I love the deep, warm colours of this shot. Especially that blue sky is lovely. If you wanted to get some close-ups of the statues, I'd recommend some fill flash as the sun was rather high anyway, so you could eliminate some of the shadows.
Compo is ok, cars in the background are - alas - unavoidable nowadays...
TFS.

Excellent work here, Pedro. If you hadn't mentioned it, I would never have guessed that you had manipulated the image so much. Good, realistic colours, with all all tones well captured. Beautiful to look at. Regards, Andrew.

Lovely photo Pedro and some good PP work. Personally I quite like the drops as they are. Good rich colouring, great POV. TFS

Olá Pedro,

Excelente trabalho aqui, belo visual.
um céu maravilhoso de um belo close-up.
Eu adoro fontes, infelismente no Brasil não temos tantas assim, e as que tem não são tão majestosas como essa.
Parabens pela foto e seu trabalho.

Sergio

and, from the thumbnail, I thought it was going to be Rome. Your pp did good! Content and composition is very good. Looks like you had a most pleasant vacation, with sunny days. I'm envious.
