An interesting subject, although two issues that stop this photo from being as good as it could be.
- Composition. Try placing the horizon/sky division lower in the frame to use the "rule of thirds." You will find that a 2:1 ratio of sky to water (or vice versa) makes a more powerful photograph.
- Light. Try taking your photo at a time when the sun is behind you illuminating the scene, not shining towards you across the water. The details, colours, and overall effect will be more powerful. You will also less run risk of overexposure in the clouds and underexposure on the land!
