Here is a panoramic view of Florence taken from the Piazza Michelangelo, across the river Arno.

Florence was the cradle of renaissance of European culture following the dark ages. The city was the center for art, culture, trade, and banking. Michelangelo and Leonardo went to the same high school here in this city. It is hard to imagine that Michelangelo, Galileo, the composer Rossini, and the infamous Machiavelli are all buried in the Church of Santa Croce, few blocks away from the city centre. The main cathedral of Florence, known as the Duomo is where the architectural renaissance took off. Behind the church is the Accademia where Michelangelo’s David lives. Down the street is Uffizi Gallery, which houses the greatest collection of Italian paintings anywhere, including the Birth of Venus by Botticelli. We only had just one day to spend in this incredible city, but I would imagine you could spend a month here and still would not see and experience all that is there to see.

Hello Sunil,

I like the composition, with the Arno central in the frame!
Good details in the architecture, made outstanding by the fine light...
Lovely colours, and I always like some emphasis to a good sky!

Hello Sunil

Visual and big beautiful panoramic of Florence.
I like the look and of this lukewarm light that it illuminates this
beautiful landscape!
great colors and sharpness, excellent POV.
Congratulations my friend...

Hi Sunil,
Most people would opt for a horizon as far up as possible, but you proved that doing it differently works as well. I like the big positive space and they way the sky slowly turns from a smoggy grey to clear blue. The river is a great leadline and let the eye explore the different brigdes.

Niek

Hi Sunil,

Excellent POV my friend! The panoramic view of the beautiful Italian city is terrific, the afternoon warm lighting makes it even more attractive! Nicely composed and presented
