perfect mood in the photo to match my mood in the past couple of days. Wonderful choice to convert this image to B/W, because it really adds up something special to this image...some undetermined feeling.

I like how you have composed this image...mighty wall, that has been standing there for centuries and small people, fragile creatures that last only...a moment. This is good way to show how 'big' we really are...Well, maybe we are big..bigger than eyerything else in the world, even if our time is limted...we are mighty in our brains, our thoughts, our deeds.

I have been shooting for a while with my 50mm and my 85mm lenses - but perspectives like this make me want to get my wide angle lens out of the closet...
this picture, more than others, has a strange, fascinating eerie atmosphere...

a rare example of truly life in S.Gimignano near the walls.. and it's not so frequently.. as i told you.. the town is sure so beautiful as it's touristic..
i'm really happy.. you discovered this precious jewel.. the town is always full of atmosfere.. all medieval.. with interesting architectures and old stories..
your capture is full of an interesting mood.. your PP.. desaturation.. and light.. give a touch of past (last century, i mean) and i find it really superb!

Interesting shot with fascinating and dark atmosphere.
The walls inclination let the eyes to go throughout the full picture. The old men (retired men I suppose) is a typical road view of the small cities in Italy.

Very photogenic picture with the old Italians included.
In Sicily where our son lives, (Scordia) it is also very common that the 'old Boys' occupying the whole street, while 'Madam' prepairs the dinner at home.
Dont try to drive through that street, even the Police will have a word with you, haha

Seems no one has asked why do they wait for the tourists.
Are they to be guides or are they looking for what this crisis is building a handout?
This reminds me very much during the depression when people would amass this way in the hopes of getting a job or being picked for one.
