[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Front of Basilica di Santa Maria del Fiore, The Duomo - Firenze (Florence), showing the intricate marble carvings and details of the facade above the main entrance door.
When I go to a place for the first time, I don't look at the map (I do it after I get lost :), I follow the flow of people. I want to be like the locals, not a tourist :)
Although I know what's instore for me, I don't wanna plan to see what I will see.
As I walk the narrow cobbled streets of Firenze Florence,) I was thrilled to be near the duomo, a nice picture in my mind from my study of Architecture. A monumental and stunning reality struck me as I turned and enter another narrow street. I saw what I wanted to see. I was so happy.
:)

The Basilica di Santa Maria del Fiore, Florence, Italy, is the cathedral church (Duomo) of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Florence. The basilica is notable for its dome designed by Brunelleschi its exterior facing of polychrome marble panels in various shades of green and pink bordered by white.

Pp work:
I wanted to post this w/o losing too much detail on the painting. I tried everything for months but I wasn't successful. I downsized its quality from 12 points to 0 and I could reduce the size so I chose a 699 pixel width. I also selected the painting and pasted it in a different file but to no avail so I'll just post the painting in the WS together w/ another pic of the duomo. I hope you enjoy it :)

Quote of the Day:
Photography to the amateur is recreation, to the professional it is work, and hard work too, no matter how pleasurable it may be.
