[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
famous school of painters from Venice, they began in the street (^_^)
like with some of my previous posts, the white burnt areas are deliberately like this, this is not just a photo, it's almost high post processing, experiment, and this PP on this tilted shot means to emphasize the graphic lines and erase some not necessary details.

hi J.Christophe,
I haven't commented any of your photos yet because I usually want to have the time to really look at a photographer's gallery to understand his way of looking at photography, but this photo prompts me to write a comment - because of the subject (Venice and the painter) and because of what you write in the note.
I like the way you play around with so many things that are characteristic of Venice - the painting, the schools, the light (!)... indeed, this is not just a photo, it's a quintessential drop of what venice what it is. especially the light - light and Venice are one single idea for me.
Burning the whites was a good idea - it marks the highlights and creates a conitnuity between the stones and the painter's clothes.
Really a good shot.

ciao Jean,

Are you serious that fine painters actually begin their training in this way?

Interesting angles of lines in this image.
