high key
some people didn't like my previous high key
there is a motive for this PP
to hide the people all around,
it's taken in the crowd of tourists on San Marco place

I have a lot of different interpretations of this photo, various classic B&W versions, a partial desaturation, HPP colors versions...
when I'll be back to the color I'll do a repost for one of the color & HPP version

PP
create a copy of blue channel in B&W & add noise
applied to a layer with changing levels 100 to 150

I wonder why you add noise on this one Jean. they are looks odd on the some place of her face :D and since you make it into this effect, IMO it will be nicer if you just brush the other remaining dark are on the bg. I dont know if your intention was to leave some details because i can see a man on the bg. But the rest just like spots :D

Hi J.C.,

Kigh Key - yes I love that effect - here it provides the picture wioth a light, bright feeling. It is as if she has to hold on to her sunhat because otherwise doves will bump into her hat.
However I guess that she hold her hat, because her arm has received too much contract. You can keep the BG like it is now, but you can select the lady with the hat and apply it as an additional layer with lets say 30% opacity, to provide a bit more definition - that way you can also see her holding her sunglasses.

Hello,

Très beua portrait, cette dame est tout souriante et joyeuse, couleur super vivie qui met bien en valeur ces cheveux noirs, superbe.

Bravo et amitié

Nicou

Ciao JC, I like a lot yor overexposed portrait, beautiful woman with fantastic expression, splendid experiment, very well done, ciao Silvio

I have to say - I like it!

Even though it gives the impression of bright, bright sunlight, I really do like the way attention is drawn into her face and is held there by a lack of anything else solid around her.

Salut Jc
Amicalement

hello Jean Christophe,
PP work using high key is a useful tool for managing pictures that are nt satisfactory in their original state. Your PP work here has produced a nice, artistic effect.
