Isola di San Giorgio Maggiore is one of the islands of Venice, lying east of the Giudecca and south of the main island group. The isle is surrounded by Canale della Grazia, Canale della Giudecca, Saint Mark Basin, Canale di San Marco and the southern lagoon.

Itook a photo from almost identical spot last year. Your composition is better than what I did. The quintessential photo from Venice. Well done.

looks like Isola San Giorgio to me, taken from Giudecca, however it's still an excellent photo. Love janos

Hello Tsilla, one of my favourite places.
I love the subtle colours of the sky and the water contrasting with the bright blue colours of the boat covers.I like the boat poles pointing up to the sky.
