[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
It was our first time in Venice,our train from Verona was delayed and we arrived late in the afternoon at Santa-Lucia station.
Well prepared with tips from friends,books and maps,we desited to leave all of that behind in the warm Hotelroom and just walk,and walk,and walk and see what happens......
No problem in a place like Venice,it all comes to you and its all around you like in a dream.
Like here on the Ponte Rialto(bridge)by early evening.

Ja, de eerste keer dat je in Venetie staat komt het allemaal op je af. (Zelfs het water, toch ?)
Hoop dat je niet te veel keer besodemietert bent.!
Rare Chinesen, die Venetianen.!
Avanti avanti, stond ie te schreeuwen, de hele boot barstens vol vanaf de parkeer plaats.
Op het water even afrekenen, jaja..!!
Maarje, je moet het eenmaal gezien hebben, en mooie plaatjes hebben gemaakt zo als deze.

Beautiful visual and composition of this beautiful scenery
of Venice!
I am amazed with the beauty of the light slightly yellow of the sun illuminating the city partially and giving a beautiful touch special. Stiller than the city already has!

Hi Jan,

Venice is one of my favorite places that I have ever visited. Who cares if you get lost in Venice. I think I could get lost and stay forever there!

The sunlight on the buildings gives an extra warmth to the already warm scene. The reflections on the water, with boats, etc.. makes me want to hop on a plane today. Plus, I'm taking Italian for fun and it would be nice to practice!

Beautiful image, with lighting to die for.

If this image was mine (I wish it was!) I would try to remove the boat/poles in the bottom left hand corner. For me that would make the image absolutely perfect.

Hello Jan, wonderful POV.
The light is magical,it highlights the beautiful colours and features of the buildings.
The gondolier and his gondola fill the bottom corner of the composition as well as leading us into the shot.

a photograph which would certainly have inspired the Venetian painter Giovanni Antonio Canal or grandissime CANALETTO, a photograph which would certainly have inspired the Venetian painter with the wonderful light on the facades of its great palaces and the Grand Canal with its shadows of evening that drape black Venice, bellissima. And now, one can not help but dream, a dream for me, for now, but one day, I'm sure I warm on your steps.

Hoi Jan,

Mooie note. Ja, in Venetie is genoeg te zien zonder een map. Net als een wandeling in Parijs of Brugge. Kun je makkelijk een paar uur rond lopen en geen map nodig hebben, omdat er genoeg te zien is.
De weg terug naar het hotel vinden is soms wel een ander verhaal ;-).

Now I go to Venice once a week and it s more easy
Great effect of the sun light and good pov
Rialto bridge is the most used but for me the best way to see Venice is fronm the roof
but ...this is not allowed to touristes.
