Hello,
Today, I take you along to Italy, in Florence. I propose the cathedral Santa Maria del Fiore to you. Florence was very much the epicentre of the Italian Renaissance and remains one of the world's top attractions for lovers of art. Florence is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Located in the heart of Tuscany, a stunning province of hills and mountains, the Renaissance capital of the world, with famous sons like Leonardo, Dante, Machiavelli and Michelangelo, is a sight not to be missed. The world famous Duomo with the Brunelleschi cupola and the marble clad baptistry are simply stupendous, but not all the monuments are like this. The streets of the historic town centre are often narrow and dark, the palaces robust and intimidating. But have a look at the squares - wonderful Mediterranean places where you will like spending hours sitting down, having a coffee and just watching people passing by.

Hello Annie
You hit me strait in my heart with this photo.
First this is one of mine favorite city’s
Second you have to explain the Luko USM method
If you look in my portfolio you will see an Amsterdam photo where I try this effect with no result. Please explain how I can get it.
The first time we visited Florence we saw a good movie. Half the film was in Florence.
When we walked there we where in the movie strange feeling
Thank for bringing back all this.

J'aime bien ce point de vue inhabituel d'un monument archi-photographié. En fait, la composition est excellente avec l'oeil du dôme en plein dans le tiers. Et le travail de PP a rajouté du punch à l'image. Très bon travail!

Un point de vue très intéressant sur cet édifice si connu, Annie. Tu as su capturé l'âme de cet édifice avec toutes ces lignes qui vont vers le haut et vers ce ciel si bleu. Même la distortion de la perspective dû à l'angle et à la lentille fonctionne très bien. Beau traitement en toute simplicité mais qui rajoute beaucoup à cette image. Bravo!

Très belle photo historique et architecturale. Les couleurs, le ciel, tout est au rendez-vous. (WS. Pour m'amuser je corrige parfois la distortion des lentilles à grand angle, on aime et parfois pas.)

J'aime bien ce point de vue avec le superbe graphisme et les textures de cette édifice. Tu as très bien su le rendre avec d'excellente couleurs et une netteté exemplaire. Très bien réussi,

Hi Annie, what a beautiful composition on this great architecture and you did a great composition, showing it probably on it's nicest side.

A bit tilted though. Or is it the lens that makes it appear like this. The right side is not tilted. :)

Hi Annie,
thank you for taking and sharing this wonderful photo of my hometown Duomo. You made a GREAT portrait here, the detail and sharpness are perfect, the POV original and appropriate as it gives the idea of the majesty of this building. The blue of the sky so intense and a good contrast with the Dome.
This time, I won't agree with the WS made because that gives back a distorted Duomo image. In this original you can see it the way it really is, exactly from the same perspective of the people looking up at it.

Hi, Annie!
This is a VERY interesting and innovative pov on Santa Maria d.F.! Usualy all people shoot he cathedral (me too) from the front, so that a David star is seen as clearly, as on a Sinagoga;)
The Cathedral is great achievment of anscient architecture (it is 500 or more years old, as I remember). The focus and light make a wonder with the structures and the photo is great achievement too!
