A grasshopper around my home.
It was very cooperative so that I could manage to take as many shots as I liked. This is a super-macro with about 80% shrink.

An amazing creature, I think it is unbelieveable how these insects move in such massive numbers destroying everything in there paths (crops of fields after crops of fields). Groups of millions travelling together. The detail in this image is great, so sharp and unworldly in the locusts design. TFS
