Took this along the roadside while "cruising" Sicily.
I absolutely love these huge cacti with their enormous flowers and fruits.

Cropped, resized, added some saturation.

Hope you enjoy this (makes me feel a bit closer to summer again!)

Hoi Anneke,
Dit is toch weer eens heel wat anders van je, maar even mooi! Lekker scherp en mooi die diagonaal die er in zit. Kleuren zijn erg goed, kortom prima inzending! TFS.

Hi Anneke, a great composition with the flowers to one side of the shot.
You have captured the textures beautifully and so sharp [ie. the focus] not the spines.

Nice shot - sharp details and lovely smooth colours and tonal range. The offcentre placement of the flowers works particularly well - placing the attention as much on the spikes as the flowers.
