My Gondola Ride

"And Aking Pag-angkas sa Bangka"
A typical gondola in Venice.
Built on more than 100 islands, the city is known for its canals, which substitute for streets in many areas. Venetians traditionally used gondolas, long, narrow, flat-bottomed boats propelled by standing navigators using a single oar, to travel along the canals; today these have largely been replaced by motorized water buses called vaporetti.
Although a tad expensive to some, you can see the amazing sites of Venice, its architecture & its retrofits, the conservation of its heritage, by this gondola ride.
The buildings are soaked in seawater up to the second floor, the paints are tarnishing, the foundations crumbling, but that is the beauty of Venice. It will always enchant. Though it might not be forever because of global warming and the consequent rising of the sea level, it will stay close to our hearts |

Is it a postcard? hehe...
You should come to Malta one day.
