[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This was taken walking up to the little hilltop village of Castlemola high above Taormina. I liked the view here are it contains all the elements:

Water: the beautiful blue of the sea
Air: the wind blowing the smoke from Etna
Earth: the beautiful green landscape of sicily
Fire: Etna in all her glory

I used a circular polariser to stop the sky from washing out and this also helped me show Etna clearly - she always seems to be covered by a faint haze.

I like all the elements you mention in this composition. I'm a lover of "all-inclusive" pictures!
The fact that you have both the volcano top and the seashore makes it a very interesting panorama.
