[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Taken in the same garden at Napoleon's villa in Elba, as the last two postings.

The top of the lighthouse is visible.

Napoleon's sojourn on Elba was brief, but he was allowed considerable freedom on the island.

Never one to take things easy, he spent his time here usefully, organising and improving Elba's civic administration.

He made his escape to mainland France, slipping away quietly by boat on the evening of 26th February 1815, when everyone was at the theatre.
