Good metering, colour and light, good sharpness where it counts in this shot Stefan. Overall, good work with the added blur - although where you've blurred his arm doesn't work so well, maybe.

I like this portrait of the "Happy Man",
That's not one of those "Happy Cigarettes" is it? :)
I think the DOF is a bit shallow (the arm and the watch are a wee bit OOF) but I realize you wanted to isolate him from the BG. overall, I think you've done a nice job with the composition and the use of natural light. You metered it well. I think the detail is nice, I wish there had been a little more. The detail is good, particularly in the straw hat area.

Similar landscape and known by me in the city where I live.
Beach cities, the people are always like this, full of life, tanned bodies and well the will with the life.
I see this gentleman's example, him yes he knows as taking advantage his life.
