[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is a picture I posted on TrekEarth so apologize to those who have already commented on it. I wanted to move my people pictures over to this website and keep the TrekEarth site for scenery shots.

It was a very hot evening in Florence when I shot this picture. I was walking downtown when I saw this young woman walking her bike across the bridge. I love Europe. This picture symbolized the lifestyle to me. Pretty girl, peaceful trip home by bicycle.

The picture was sharpened using the unsharpen mask and colored slightly using a warming tone.

and what i really like is that she's alone crossing that bridge, so she's fully capturing the look.
a bit oversaturated, but could be just the settings of my screen.

As she is positionned in an excellent way and look very nice... But i enjoy what sun do on her, and create that contrast she stay between and the left position please me...
Nothing with the fact i'm a left hand :)

That's really a great composition Roger, unfortunately you missed the right focus and the colours are a bit too saturated too, but the compo....wow, a deep emotion.

Such a wonderfully fresh moment you've captured here, Roger. Makes me want to be there. The photo makes me "feel" what it would be like to be there and I like your comment about the thoughts of this young woman.

I was studying Italian in Florence a few years ago and one evening the river was totally calm, thus I got some incredibly wonderful reflection shots.

I thought I had seen this one before. The composition is wonderful, the warm colours of the setting sun give the feeling of summer. The absence of other activity on the bridge make it feel like a Sunday...
