The Alpine Garden in Stresa offers a large variety of plants and also, weather permitting a beautiful view of the Borromean Islands (I'll get to the view too).
The bug here looks like out of a car wash, shiny and clean. It enjoyed walking on a pillow of moss.

Indeed this beetle is very shiny and with a prominent set of feelers. Sound like the trip to Stresa was fun. I visited the area many years ago before the advent of digicam and would like to revisit someday. I have run out of smileys but will return. Greetings! Danilo

I like the wet grasses here. The bug looks fake shiney but I guess that is how he was -- like you write -- out of a car wash. TFS. K2
