[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Tonight the photo lesson was on make up. This girl is a class-mate and she was perfect for this lesson. We took photos during the whole time, so we can see anythime how a face can change with a particular make up. Obviously it was too strong for the daily life, but with strong lights it's absolutely necessary. The original photo is in color, but despite the white balance it has a yellow dominant and with a 80A filter it looses intensity, so I decided to convert it to b&w.
Giamaica is her name.

Beautifully vintage. I wish I could see more of her -- her hair/ her neck and shoulders/ or more of the wall. She's so pretty and such a main subject that she almost looks fake.

Bagus sekali ini....

Excellent B&W photo - ice white to pitch black. Eyes are accentuated with great catchlights. Very good detail and contrast range. The look is that of "faraway thoughts" - almost of remembering something nice. The white strip on the left is unnecessary. It does not add to the composition. It weakens the mood and the contribution made by the face. Nevertheless a beautiful pic.

I think you (and your model) did a good job: the skin tones are full of nuance, no over-exposure to be seen and no disturbing shadows.
Black & white was a good choice here. Together with the make-up of your model, B&W gives your photo the look of a picture from around 1950 or earlier. She looks like an actress of that era.
I agree with "Zeperix" about the white strip in the background, which is indeed a little detracting. But my overall conclusion: well done!

wow very pretty model. The eyes are really very expressive like she is in a deep thought.
Very sharp image. Hope you can post in colors I like to see shades of make-ups to come-up with a this beautiful face....
