I think that you are not tired because there is too much energy in your revolt! You are just conscious! Perhaps more than much among us! And when humour still lives in yourself, all is possible! I like to see this red necklace over your gray suit! But, it doesn't prevent me from seeing your perspicacious glance nor the unruly wick you tried to arrange without success. With your great note, this is perfectly done! Annie

HI Marco,

many years ago, I think what is the colors, of course not about those of physical spectrum, but about the sensations themselves in our feelings. and I found the world has no colors from beginning to the end, the colors are only my spirit in feeling. and gray is one of color elements in my mind.
you look expressing your disappointment and angrinees to all this world by the gray, it is almost appropriate, but what is the meaning of your saving pink tie...it maybe a little hope or vanishing last warmth, I don't know...
anyway, an interesting self portrait of you in gray, with sulking expression.

Curiosamente io recupero nel tuo testo i miei sentimenti del momento. Un mondo che va inopportuno, un mondo grigiastro e violento come io lo dissi nella mia composizione 'Strange World' Lei dice con parole molto elette quello che io penso, grazie.
Io non so più dove è il piacere, se non è quell'a attraversare un sorriso nella strada. La vita è grigia per me ed io tento a colore esso coi miei sogni e 'il clic' di macchina fotografica mia.
Ritratto molto bello, io finalmente l'ho i così molto aspettarono fotografia. Visto bene la piccola chiave di colore sulla cravatta.

Oh Marco,

After reading this I think a little rebellion against corperate policy by using colour in your necktie is justified.
I now also understand why you enjoyed reading the poem of Pessoa.
The selfportrait is special because of the sceptical look in your eyes, a look that observes and analyses the world outside yourself as well as inside yourself. Thanks for showing us yourself in your picture as in your note. It is appreciated,

Excellent portrait, Marco! You look very distinguished in this "gritty" Black & White with a red accent. Suggestive pose and look, as if you're trying to confess us something by tranmission of thoughts. Composition and depth of field are flawless as well.

Germans have a word for the feelings you describe in your note: "Weltschmerz". Could that be right?

good definition of your Conscious thought about the world :)wonderful black and white self potrait.. i could never do this.. not brave enough :) i like your eyes.. i say you have tantalizing eyes.. the mole i guess is your distinguish mark of your face.. i have one too but mine is at the center of my lower lip.. quite embarassing sometime peoples keep staring at it.. probably they thought it was a dirt as it is not round.. haha..

anyway excellent sharpness and detail.. love what you done with your shot with little part in colour and most is black and white.. good job..
