the cathedral in milan.
the original was poor so i turned it into b&w added cloud effect in photoshop played around with curves and saturation. this is an experiment so all c&c's will be recieved with gratitude.

this idea was 'borrowed' from my good friend,on tl, magdalena. she has produced some excellent images, much better than this one, in her gallery.
so to her i say 'thanks'

Hi Brian - The only real flaw I'd pick here is that the tips of the central spires have been cut off, I'm guessing when the shot was taken rather than during pp work.

But, that aside, there is a lovely gothic feel here that works perfectly with the Cathedral. I think you have managed a great salvage job here, this could almost be a postcard except for the cut-off spires.

I might also be tempted to crop up from the bottom as well as some of that portion is so dark a lot of the detail is lost.

I think this is ideal for Treklens - you have done a great salvage job to get this shot and at the same time hopefully you can pick up some decent tips. Very interesting shot, Brian.

Hello dear friend

Good photo, excellent idea, uncanny impression. It looks like "Cathedral" - sf cartoon by Tomasz Bagiński

Hi, Brian!
Wow,what amazing effect this shot has!
I like its mood akin to some mysticism and mystery!
Well done!

Hi Brian, approval therefore the Dome of Milan seems still more characteristic than when it is dipped in the famous fog, great job.

Hello Bri! Excellent effect! This brings to mind some good memories of Milan, even if the image is melancholic and gloomy in a strange but right kind of way. Well done! A bit too dark, it needs a little brightness/contrast adjustment and maybe a little sharpness. The ws received from Magdalena is pretty explanatory in this regard.
TFS!
