The shadow between the photo and the frame makes it look like in 3D, like the photo is over a white paper. I love your note; yes how important confidence is, and the scary part is that we get it from childhood, from the love, attention, support, we receive at an early age. I say "scary" because we have to remember it for the ones that are behind us; we can help them to gain the self-confidence, or we can destroy someone´s else self-confidence, sometimes only with words.

Hi Marco,
a very clear shot with nice light on the sea.
I think birds may have excellent intelligence, they are the descendant of dinosaur the ruler of the former earth...
perhaps birds have their view of the world rather different from us, and their eyes are high-performance than our eyes or cameras.
birds are dreadful, in my feeling, they must aim the next ruler after mankind. (perhaps Sir Alfred Joseph Hitchcock may agree with me)

Well spotted, Marco. The eye of the gull is terrific; a deep hue of yellow, it almost looks transparent though. Beautiful. The hand pushing some kind of food towards the gull does show a big deal of confidence... a point well illustrated.

Never mind that gull will gather up his courage and go for the food. It is lovely to take time to observe animals and slowly gain their confidence - soft talking and controled movements will help.
