I took this picture because I cannot comprehend why this pretty woman would sun bathe and display herself at a bench right beside the main walk where all the people from the boat gets off for their tour of Vernazza. There are plenty of spaces on the breakwater rocks around the beach and she can do it with some privacy. Here almost all that came off the boat or will take the boat sees her doing her "power display". She knows people are taking her picture because she glances at the people all the time. Could she be a person paid by their tourist bureau to do this? I do not mind it at all. I am just curious. Below her on the other side are rocks and water. The beach is further to the right hand side.

This photo was taken in Vernazza, one of the five villages, with its surrounding hillsides encapsulated as a national park by the name of Cinque Terre.
The five villages are, from east to west: Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza and Monterrosa Al Mare.

Hi Andre
Good shot and nice capture, successful light control... I prefer higher F.Stop and deeper depth of field. very well done.

hi Andre

No doubt this is very eye catching scenerio and she drew your attention. Nice composition and pov of using the rockwall and water as backdrop. Interesting how she could focus on her reading? Reading against the sun?

I know why she lies there, André: she knew her skin tones would accord beautifully with the colours of the canoes and, even more, with the colour of that nice stone wall. Hey man, she did it all for you ;o).
Nice capture with a good compo. Would have been nice without the sunbathing senorita, but now it is even better!
