Beautiful capture.
A bit dark for my taste but still great.
So now we have more guys in skirts :-).
You're starting to worry me bro :-).

Hello, John,
I really like this shot. Very nice rich, natural color, great detail, well composed. It looks like a scene from a movie about ancient Rome. Really nice work! Many thanks and kind regards,

Hi John,
This is one of the performances that I love to see . . their courageous and boldness . .
And indeed they are strong and highly dedicated . .
New film "Rome" on HBO recently launched . . I love it . .
Do you have a chance to wear those costume? . . Share with us if you wear one . .
Tfs,
Tjutjut
I don't think their struggle is that hard, there are worse jobs IMO ☺^☺.
A nice city, isn't it, John? These actors are concentrated around the Colosseum, I didn't see them on the Forum Romanum. (see ws). Maybe their faces are a tad too dark, and the right one's plume on the helmet looks a tad unnatural - did you blur it or something?
Anyway, it's nice to see you saw what I saw ☺.

Hi John,
So, today centurions in "la Citta Eterna"?! :-)
Very nice and colorful composition, I think was no easy to capture them, maybe from the big distance, a kind of candid camera?! Because I know that they can't be photographed only for money.
Have a good evening,
Sorina

Hello Mr. world traveler :)
Quick from office.
This photo reminds me movies like Benhar, or Julius Cezar etc.
Candid shot, sure you didn't asked them to pose for you.
I like their costumes. Bright red.
Well captured shot.

Nice rich colours John, I do like the crop a la Huub and well framed. Like Pierre I wonder about the darkness and once again a fill flash filter (PSP) would bring out some more detail. TFS,

Hi John,
This looks like taken from a movie set ... very realistic ancient scene. The weathered wall gave the scene a more realistic look. Well captured and composed with good resulting image quality. Well done! tfs

A scene that could be out of De Mille's movies.
Everyone has already told you what they tought of it and I agree with some of them so will spare you the nagging.

Hi Bro, nice tight portrait on the actors.
As for myself, the brightness is perfect. It is not too dark on my screen. And I followerd Pierre's link to adjust and it turns out that my monitor is well calibrated.
Even if an LDC is well calibrated, the rendition of colours and luminosity is not the same.
And a digital screen and an analogue screen makes also a huge difference.
Any how, this looks perfect.
Take care, Sis

Hello Sir John,
Good God, this image brought me back to the history Ceasers and their impire was maginificient. Did you notice that each war in the history was won just because of one element i.e. innovation?
A beautiful shot my friend, well done. Thanks for sharing this.
