Arezzo is set on a steep hill rising from the floodplain of the Arno. In the upper part of the town are the cathedral, the town hall and the Medici Fortress (Fortezza Medicea), from which the main streets branch off towards the lower part as far as the gates. The upper part of the town maintains its medieval aspect despite the addition of later structures.
Arezzo is one of the most important cities of the Etruscan federation, in Roman times it also held a preminent position among the cities of the Italian peninsula, in the middle ages it was one of the first to elect its own government and in the 13th and 14th centuries, under the aegis of its warrior bishops, it was a powerful republic led by the Ghibelline faction

Piazza Grande: the buildings surrounding the square bear witness to six centuries of Arezzo's civil architectural development, from ordinary houses of the 1200 and 1300s alongside two noblemen's houses with towers, to the Palazzo della Fraternita dei Laid (house of the Lay Brotherhood) with its gothic and renaissance facade, from the apse of Santa Maria della Pieve to the adjacent 18th-century Palazzo del Tribunale courthouse, and the 16th-century Logge del Vasari.

the photo was taken while the piazza was under Constructions.

Scenes from the movie "Life Is Beautiful" with Robert Benigni, were filmed here.

Hi Tsilla,

Interesting vision.
The crop at the bottom is now clear with your words to Manuj's comment.
I like the tonal comparison and the light.
Good presentation, fine notes.

Hi Tsilla

I like the repetitive streaked clouds in the blue sky. Good fg sharpness & interesting repetition of the mounted shields. Tfs!

hello Tsilla
whole view is wonderful
place and the architecture muct be very old.
i like the texture of the buildings
you have captured the sky very well.

as your title suggest that you have focused on the well particular then i must ask why you have croped its bottom, it seems that the well you wanted to show is incomplete? Although if we include rest of the things in the shot, your photograph is all perfect and complete.
nice colours and perspective.

God Bless you.
smiely later (finished all for the day)

regards
Manuj Mehta
