Hello Roger! It seems that we like the same places! I just love Sicily (I was there for a week in 2005) As you said the architecture blends with the landscapes there. Very nice composition and great details, well done!

Hello Roger
I leave the portrait before for another moment because I couldn't resist to this wonderful landscape in b/w. It's fantastic: the light, the detail, the composition. A superb work. Congrats my friend, mb

Very cool panorama Roger. I especially like the black and white image. You're right about the village blending into the landscape. It also strikes me how dense the buildings are in this ancient place.
Keep those panoramas comin'

Great shot Roger. I too like the cluster sense of the village. There's an interesting history as to why that's so. It seems that after centuries of being occupied/invaded/conquered from all sides of the Mediterranean, Sicilians have clustered together and would have to wake up early to get to the fields. There are no real farms that one lives on because of the dangers from abroad. They commute from the villages. This is also an explanation for the sense of Familia that's been the stereotyped in film etc. I hope I don't offend anyone with this comment, being a descendent of Sicilian immigrants myself, I just find it very interesting sociological history and your photograph depicts it very, very well.
Kind regards,
Jim
