[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is the flower of agave americana, a plant original of Mexico but now broadly naturalized in the Mediterranean area. This one lies in a garden in the upper city of Cagliari from where the view is open to the wide gulf of Angels (as the bay of Cagliari is called). The mountains you see in the background are those which close the gulf.

Ciao Donato,
An artistic photo! The exotic looking plant is nicely popping out from the sky backround. Normally tree leaves in the corners nicely frame a photo, but in this case they are almost distracting, IMHO.

Beautiful simple composition in an effective vertical presentation.

Hi Donato,

I love agaves, they are so decorative flowers and even if they are not native in Europe, now if I think about Mediterranean I see these splendid flowers. Beautiful photo of the agave flower.

The plant stands out well on the blue sky background!
Composition wise I like inclusion of some ground, and the branches in top to balance the off-set plant...
