Swaddee Krub everybody,

This is my contribution to Friday Theme 2008/07/18 "Time"

This was a sequel follow the shot that I took before I queued for a long time for enter to the Uffizi. When I reminded about the time when the palazzo vecchio had build. The decorated elements that include the clock and a painted coats of arms had done to show the posperous power of the ruler of Florentine republic. In that time no ones never asked about the future of the Florentine republic But Only Time Will Tell.

For information in brife of clock from wiki that you could found full information from below link : "The large, one-handed clock was originally constructed by the Florentine Nicolò Bernardo, but was replaced in 1667 by a clock made by Vincenzo Viviani.
The cubical building is built in solid rustic stonework, with two rows of two-lighted Gothic windows, each with a trefoil arch. Michelozzo Michelozzi added decorative bas-reliefs of the cross and the lily in the spandrels between the trefoils. The building is crowned with projecting crenellated battlement, supported by small arches and corbels. Under the arches are a repeated series of nine painted coats of arms of the Florentine republic. Some of these arches can be used as embrasures (spiombati) for dropping heated liquids or rocks on invaders".

For PP: I scanned from 35mm negative,I used crop tool to adjust the composition and retouched by filter tool to reduced scratch and dot.Next step,I used curve and shadow/hightlight tool to decrease the brightness and open detail in shadow. Finally,I used filter smart sharpen, framing and resize.

Very interesting subject and great notes, Prapat. I like the POV you used with the clock’s position in the image. The coat of arms is really great to see. Is that a balcony below the clock or screening to conduct repairs. A historical contribution to the theme.
Warm Regards
Wanda
