| I think it is a work of art the way these zucchini (courgettes as we know them in the UK)are displayed on this market stall in Pisa. Here in the UK the blooms are chopped off first, which is a shame. But then I don't imagine those sold in supermakets here are anywhere near as fresh and keepin the flowers in would give that away! |

Hi Bev,
This looks wonderful. I know there are a lot of recipes for zucchini blossoms. As in the U.K. the flower is chopped off here too. This is a neat arrangement with pattern, texture, and repetition. I would have reversed the frame order and had a green frame with a pale pinstripe. (Just my preference...not that your's isn't nice) :D

And you don't imagine, I suppose, that here in Italy these blooms are also sold separately in order to fry them in a delicate batter. :-)

Not my favourite vegie Bev but I did grow them with a lot of success. Good colour in the shot which has been well composed and your choice of framing suits too,
