So here is the most famous tower in the world. Pisa is a short distance from Florence and is another must see place in Italy. What I did not realize till I went there is that the tower is completely marble. So are the basilica and the baptistery that are in the same location as the tower (see the WS). When we went there, the top and the bottom sections of the tower were encased with construction mesh – obviously some renovations were taking place. At least they had good taste to use pure white mesh so that the overall effect was not too bad. However, I wanted to take a picture without all the construction stuff and after a bit of searching, found this POV, with a beautiful marble vase hiding some of the construction. The vase also gives you a reference to see the tilt of the tower. You can see some people who had climbed the tower – some brave souls I must say, given the angle at which the tower is leaning!

love this icon image and is very well presented here the white marble against the blue sky. the vase is interesting but detracts from the tower but as it was your intention i'll go with it.tfs

Wow...I didn't know it was tipping THAT much! At first I didn't like seeing the vase in the foreground until I realized how it does provide the straight vertical reference for understanding of the tower's tilt. Amazing. Good shot and well done:)

Hello Sunil,

Fine details have been captured in the ancient architecture!
I notice the sightseers up there, they look scared...!
A well framed view with fine natural colours...

Greetings,
Pablo -

Hi Sunil,

Excellent POV, very sharp and very good detail. The Blue of the sky terrific and the composition stresses the main feature of the Tower!

Bonjour Sunil,
Odile

Hi Sunil, this is a great composition and close-up on the details. And a good idea to incluse the other vase, to show that your photo is straight.
The soft creamy beige is beautiful.
Very sharp.

And good inclusion of the human elements.

Cheers! Yan

Hi,
Lovely composition. It's good you didnt try to take the entire tower. ANd the vase was a good idea. Love the contrast aginst the sky too.

Hello Sunil,

Amazing one, my friend!! Even I am not aware that, it is made of marble. You showed the angle very well, I like the comparison with a straight building. Well composed and great colors. TFS.

Hi Sunil

Good inclusion of the perpendicular sculpture in the fg, juxtapositioned against the more famous backdrop of the tower. A nice color contrast too. Tfs!

Missed Pisa on our trips to Italy, but it is on the list for the next. Thanks for croping out the construction stuff and including the people for size. I notice that they are straight even though the tower is off center. TFS

Hello Sunil !

Lovely shot. Superb perspective , contrasts and composition . No need to see it entirely . The element in the foreground is also a great idea.
Well done !
Robert
