[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This was seen and captured at Villa d’Este in Tivoli just outside Rome. The villa and the estate was the residence of an important cardinal in the 16th century. The villa is built on a slope and has a spectacular terraced garden with hundreds of water fountains.

This is the type of photo that I like best, relatively small fields of view, in soft focus, giving a sense of peace and elegance. These are the ones that you have to look for and need to have a almost a 2nd sense to capture one when you see one.

I did some post processing on the original, a bit of tinting at the top and softening the edges by applying a filter.

Hi Sunil,
Lovely place well captured!
The tight view on the sea throught the arch is so appealing. I like much the diffuse light and soft colors. The green/yellow bush makes a fine contrast.
Beautifully done! Annie

HI Sunil , hmmm? there is a lot too like in this image , soft colors and lighting , some interesting subject, I agree that it does have a certain peace to it , but honestly the overall composition is just too busy for me , the one bush one the right hand side ,for myself, is just one bush too many , it gives a certain feeling that it is hiding what is on the other side.

well just an opinion ;-)

thanks for sharing

regards
Art

An appealing combination of natural and man-made beauty, with lovely light quality. It is interesting to feel the draw of the architecture and colors in the background even after noticing the lamp and greenery in the foreground. Well done:)

hello Sunil,
A very captivating shot--with soft colours and lighting all in a very interesting composition.
The detail of the arch and sea beyond is lovely.

Hi Sunil, I certainly don't object to what some call a busy scene. Your chosen POV is good, lovely colours and textures and the bit of tinting worked well. Nicely captured,
David

Hi Sunil

Wonderful warm cold color contrasts, but perhaps the composition is a little cramped/busy? Superb shadow detail and sharpness. Tfs!

Hi,
I love the POV here, and good use of the 3 elements - the lamp, plants and bridge. Very soothing to the eye. Nice use of gradient for the b/g as always.

Subashini
